FRANK BURNETT

Guitar & Vocals

Frank's love of music began at an early age.  He has become a talented multi-instrumentalist, with an affinity for the guitar.   Frank started playing guitar and performing in bands during high school. His love of music led him to establish the Stouffville Folk Music Club. The Club, and Frank, gained notoriety throughout the community which led to the creation of a cable television program  highlighting local talent. Frank was invited to host and perform in the program. In the following years, Frank and Steve met and they began performing together - and a lifelong friendship began. Frank's music credits include the bands Pressure, Good to Go, and Full Circle.

Frank's love of music led him to teaching and he establish Frank's Music & Repair, a successful music school in Durham.

Frank and Steve continue to perform together following Full Circle. He is excited about the new sound of Burnett & Neale.

STEVE NEALE

Bass & Vocals

Steve’s love for playing bass started when he was 13 years old. Listening to Paul McCartney and other British Rock bands helped form Steve’s Bass and vocal styles. He was 14 when he started playing in a band called “The Mercenaries”. They performed Top 40 hits in dance halls and at high school dances throughout southern Ontario during his high school years.

During his late teens, Steve met Frank through mutual friend Jimmy Hunter. Steve   quickly realized they shared the same views on many things and a common love for performing. This led to the formation of a 3 piece rock band called “Pressure” who gained quite a good following around the Kawarthas

The following years led to projects with Touring Group “Wrangler”,  whose  formative gigs included Frank before they departed for the road for 2 years. Once Steve returned from the road and played for a short time with Jane Lupton and Mark Clout in the folk/rock trio “Home on the Road”.

Years later, Frank contacted Steve and asked if he would sit in on some recording sessions for a Christmas project. Steve thought it would be great to sit down and play a few tunes with his old friend again and share a few laughs.

By the end of the first session, Steve knew that the collaboration would not end with this one project.

Excited to continue their recent alliance, Steve and Frank wanted to play and perform much more. With that in mind they formed the Classic Rock Band “Full Circle” This project ran for 16 years with Steve, Frank and close friends : Morgan Fetterly on Percussion and vocals and Dianne Latchford on Keys, Guitar and vocals. Three or four part harmonies were often heard in many of the classic rock tunes they played.

Following a great run with Full Circle, Steve and Frank wanted to return to their folk/rock roots, back to their “Acoustic days “ After Morgan and Dianne decided to part ways with the band and head down different roads, Steve and Frank continued with their plans and transitioned to a duo format more suited to play smaller venues and events.

“Burnett & Neale”  continue to play various venues throughout Southern Ontario having just as much fun as they did when they first started decades earlier.
